After last year’s cyber-attack, we’ve made a major step forward this month with the release of an online version of our main catalogue. We’re working hard to resume normal services and we’ll continue to keep you posted with our progress. Thank you to everyone who’s wished us well these past few months and for the generous gestures of support you’ve shown us. We really appreciate all your kind words and understanding.
While our focus remains on restoring services, we’re also looking ahead to our 2024 programme, including three new exhibitions in St Pancras and more events and activities in Leeds. Read on to discover what else the year holds.

We have recently released a searchable online version of our main catalogue, which contains records of the majority of our printed collections, as well as some freely available online resources. We have also expanded the range of items that can be accessed in our Reading Rooms at St Pancras, including the majority of our special collections, while limited collection items can be viewed at Boston Spa.

Small business support for the year ahead
|
We continue to be here for entrepreneurs in London and across the UK as we work to restore services. Our Business & IP Centre (BIPC) team remains dedicated to offering expert business advice, in-person and online. With a range of workshops, events, webinars and one-to-ones you can find the support you need to start or grow your business in 2024.

From London, to Leeds, to Australia, we get around! Coming this year, we have three new major exhibitions opening in St Pancras: Beyond the Bassline, Medieval Women, and an exploration of the people who inhabited and passed through the Silk Road. Our Get Creative programme continues for young people in Leeds, and our Hebrew Manuscripts exhibition will be opening on the other side of the world in Melbourne.

Make sure to visit both of our current exhibitions before they close on 25 February. Our ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ exhibition, Fantasy: Realms of Imagination, takes you on a legendary quest through the impossible worlds of fantasy as they have never been chronicled before. While at our free exhibition Malorie Blackman: The Power of Stories you’ll discover the author of Noughts & Crosses, and how she became a literary icon and trailblazer for inclusivity and representation in publishing.

We’ve opened The Last Word community hub in our Piazza, which is the new base for our Community Engagement team. Here they’ll meet Camden residents and host a range of activities with and for local people. The hub will also showcase changing displays of community projects for everyone to enjoy. If you live in the area come and say hello next time you visit the Library.
