Céad Míle Fáilte – and welcome to your “Letter from Ireland”. We’re Mike and Carina, a husband and wife team who live in a cottage in County Cork, Ireland.

We send out a letter every week on a Sunday, and a “shorts” email of some favourite Irish things on a Tuesday. So do be sure to look out for them.

What you can do next:

STEP 1: To make sure you receive every letter you’ll need to make sure your email provider knows you want to receive them.

·         For Gmail Mobile, tap the three dots, select “Move To,” then “Primary.”

·         On Gmail Desktop, drag this email to your Primary tab.

·         For Outlook, click the “download pictures” banner and add me to your Safe Senders list.

·         In Apple Mail, click my email address at the top and add me to your Contacts or VIPs.

STEP 2: HIT REPLY and send me on the Irish surnames in your Family tree (and the county you think they lived in), I will add them to our growing list. We use this list to offer interesting insights to our readers regarding the origins and movements of their family surnames. Please mention your own name so I can assign them to the right person.

STEP 3: While the letter doesn’t cost anything to read, we do need you to “pay” for it by forwarding it to any friends or family you think would appreciate it and telling them to sign up. The letter takes hours every weekend to write it but it only takes seconds to share and it makes a huge difference to us.

STEP 4: If you would like to take a look at past letters – and much more – head over to our Letter from Ireland website where we have collected quite a few of our most popular letters.

STEP 5:
Why not join us inside The Green Room? That’s our fairly-priced membership site where people like you get great training, access to Irish genealogists and encouragement to help break down those Irish ancestry brick walls. We now have a friendly community of over 5,000 people of Irish descent from all around the world. You can even get a sneak peek behind the scenes here.

Finally, we’d like to share a special free ebook that features some of our best letters from the past 10 years (yes, it has been that long!) Get your free ebook by clicking on the following:

“Irish Surnames – Solve The Riddle of Your Irish Surnames in Nine Easy Pieces”.

We hope you find the book both entertaining and useful!

That’s it for now – any questions, do feel free to HIT REPLY, we reply to everyone who does!

Slán, Mike & Carina… and talk next Sunday!

Welcome To Our Irish World…
